March Update

Every month Calvary Preschool has an exciting adventure. In February our children took a field trip to Bishop Museum. In March we will have a performance at our school on recycling as well as a Zoologist visiting our school with many reptiles. If you are interested in attending please let your childs teacher know you will be attending. We appreciate our parent volunteers and the children enjoy making wonderful memories with their parents.

The school has also started completing basic assessments for all our three and four year olds. These are completed quarterly for our children and shared with parents during their parent teacher conference.

We have the following openings for March 1st 2010:

2    openings in the Little Star class (12 months to 28 months).

 0   openings in our two year old class the Sea Horses (We potty train.)

 0   openings in our three year old class the Surf Monkeys.

1    opening in our three year old class Love Bugs.

1   opening in our four year old class the Honey Bees..

We are now accepting applications for June 1st 2010, and August 1st, 2010 for all ages. Please call for a tour if you are interested in attending our preschool.

Mission

It is the mission of Calvary Episcopal Preschool to provide a fully integrated preschool program to foster the child’s spiritual, social, and emotional growth, as well as their physical and mental development.

The responsiblity of the preschool is to work with families to guide each child in the growth of their total personality. Areas related to Christian living, physical, mental, emotional and social development are all given equal attention when preparing a curriculum to fit the needs of each child. A child’s self expression, creativity, and analytical thinking are worked out in play.

Calvary Preschool offers early learning opportunities for children ages 12 months through 5 years. We provide several different programs to meet the diverse needs of our families including a half day program, a three day program, a school day program, a full day program, and an extended day program.

Each classroom is staffed with qualified, experienced, loving teachers. We maintain low child to staff ratios. We offer a variety of experiences for children in our classrooms and on our four different outdoor playgrounds.
