Angels September Newsletter 2008 We will have exciting things happening this month. First we will be going to the Honolulu Zoo for our first field trip and we are looking forward to having parent volunteers. The field trip is on Friday September 19th; we will be departing the school at about 8am and returning about 1:30pm. The children need to be dressed in the schools blue t-shirt and covered shoes (no crocs, slippers, or sandals) brown bag lunch and drinks (No Lunch Bags Please) if your child is enrolled in lunch bunch please provide them with drinks. The sign up sheet for volunteers will be posted on the classroom door. So please check it out on a daily basis. In the classroom we will be experimenting with many different sensory activities. Some activities will include cereals (with holes for sewing), coffee grinds, oatmeal, corn, and dried pasta. The classroom always welcomes donations of these type of items for sensory and craft projects. It’s been very hot this past month and we have been exploring with the water tables. In September we will be doing water play on Wednesday’s and Friday’s as weather permits. The children will have an opportunity to play under sprinklers, pouring water on themselves as well as playing at the water tables.
