Welcome to the Honeybees class. Hello, my name is Ms. Kalei, and i'll be your child's teacher for this 2009-2010 school year. All our curriculum and information is located on our sign in counter. Feel free to drop by and check it out for our upcoming curriculum and school events.

Happy New Year! January has came and gone and we have done some fun and exciting things this past month with our Transportation unit. We made Tire Tracks and Train Tracks for art. We played with Tonka trucks in coffee ground. We had THE BUS come and visit our school. And we made some yummy cooking projects such as Spam Musubis and English Muffin Pizzas.

 

It’s now February, and we have been talking about Community Helpers (Firefighters, Police Officers, Doctors, etc.). We have some fun activities planned such as Fix-My-Wound and making Blue Prints for art. We have Valentines Day and Chinese New Years projects in the making. And some of our cooking projects for the month are Sugar Cookies, and Pigs in a Blanket when we cover Farm Animals at the end of the month.

 

In March, we will be wrapping up our Farm Animals unit and moving onto Pets and Easter. We are celebrating Easter with lots of fun activities such as Easter Eggs dying, making Easter baskets and an Easter Egg Hunt to name a few. And then we will be getting ready for Graduation and Kindergarten.
